Kremlin lies #5 - "No-one is Interested in Kicking Russia out of the UN" | Knowledge is Power
Far from "birds of a feather", UN voting shows that even 92% of the world’s dictatorships refused to support Russia. They’d pass the resolution on their own, even if no other country voted.
Far from "birds of a feather", UN voting shows that even 92% of the world’s dictatorships refused to support Russia. They’d pass the resolution on their own, even if no other country voted.
And that is when they are vulnerable to direct and indirect retaliation by Russia - “vetoing” UN intervention to protect them.
Would they vote to “remove” Russia’s power to invade them, or retaliate, if the resolution was tabled? Obviously the answer is yes.

The sole reason countries have been put off the idea of “kicking Russia out” of the UN, because they have been told it is impossible.
They have been told that Russia is a member, that it would veto any attempt to kick it out. That it would veto any attempt to change the UN Charter. None of that is true.
Once the world realises the truth that Russia is not a member of the United Nations and does not have a veto, and they have been lied to for 34 years, what country is going to “give” that power, over itself, and the only organisation authorised and able to protect it, to a terrorist state that has invaded, exploited, destroyed country after country?
The power to invade any country it likes, and to allow any other country or terrorist group to do anything they want, to any country, with impunity? No government in it’s right mind will vote to “keep” Russia’s “veto”.
What is the point of voting against that resolution, when even if the resolution was lost, Russia would still not be a member, the entire world would be aware of the fraud and the violation of the UN Charter, and both Russia and the UN would have lost all credibility?
When countries under the heel of Russia realise that the resolution is going to pass, even the 5-17 states (including the USA) which have voted in support of Russia since the invasion (2.6-8.8% of members) will probably want to dissociate themselves from a state which is going to be a pariah.
(Once Putin’s power to invade, buy “allies” and stop the UN is gone, I suspect, many of Putin’s newly liberated “satellite” states like Hungary, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia may be first in line to help Ukraine.)
The UN voting on Russia vs Ukraine to date: 74.8% against Russia, 2.6% support Russia.
UN voting results are set out in the tables below. 143 countries, 74.8% of the UN membership, voted to demand Putin withdraw from Ukraine.
It was not “lack of interest” but a non-existent, fictitious “veto” by Russia that stopped the UN exercising it’s specialised structure, authority, mandate and DUTY to perform it’s main purpose - to suppress aggression - by whatever actions necessary, including force.
By contrast, a resolution to kick Russia out cannot be vetoed, by any country. It does not even require the votes of any of the 4 permanent (“veto”) members of the Security Council. It requires only a simple majority of UN members present and voting. Abstentions aren’t counted.
It is simply ridiculous to suggest that those countries “aren’t interested” in freeing the UN from control by a psychopathic dictatorship which is destroying fellow members country after country, violating the law, preventing what they want to do, and causing havoc and huge expense to most (particularly in Europe, both from arms purchases and dealing with immigrants fleeing from the various areas where Russia is waging or sponsoring wars and violations of human rights; but throughout the world from terror, poverty, disinformation pollution, polarisation, food, resources and economic strife).
The only problem is that they have been tricked by 33 years of lies, into believing that it is impossible.
If the resolution1 is tabled, they, and the public of the whole world, will immediately see the truth; and recognise those lies for what they are.
The “dictatorship” countries:
Leaving that aside, those voting results show that, of the 66 states classified as “not free” or “partly free” (“dictatorships”) of the world:
- 59-61 of those 66 dictatorships refused to support Russia in the UN.
11-27 voted against Russia. Even though they were not directly affected by it, and it was crucially, possibly existentially, important to Putin.
The abstentions and absences (which are not counted as votes) indicate countries which are likely in fear of retaliation by Russia, as no country in it’s right mind would vote to support invasions, thereby laying itself open to invasion.
On that voting, even the votes of the dictatorships of the world on their own could kick Russia out of the UN, without a single vote from the democratic countries!.
None have acknowledged Putin’s claims to annex Ukraine’s territories. Even in the treaty Putin just signed with Iran, Crimea and the “annexed“ territories were not shown as part of Russia.
So stop self-deterring!!!
TABLE THE RESOLUTION NOW!!
Further:
Almost all those countries (except China) are “not free”, solely or principally because Russia has used it's veto to support their dictatorships. Russia has vetoed or threatened to veto UN assistance to their people to protect human rights and help set up democracies.
That's why kicking Russia out is so important.

BRICS
“BRICS is another example of many countries colluding to, among other undemocratic reasons, replace USD as the world's reserve currency.”
-There is nothing undemocratic about changing the world’s reserve. It is the USD because that works the best. No one is going to remove the USD unless the US abuses it, and there is a better option.
Countries are not interested in the US. They are just interested in joining any organisations which give them friendship and trading prospects.
“China and Russia control the UN”
No. China has one vote, and doesn’t control any other country’s vote in the UN, afaik. The opposite - it has always spoken out against the UN being dominated by a few. This is what China said at the first major meeting after Russia infiltrated in 1991 (when no one understood what was going on):
TBC.
